We are excited to announce that Jennifer McInerney has joined our firm as an attorney. Jenny is a graduate of Indiana University School of Law and is licensed in Alabama and Mississippi. She has 12 years of legal experience, having focused primarily on general business, nonprofit law and general litigation. Jenny also has extensive experience in special education law, being both an advocate and parent of a child with special needs.
Jenny is active in the community and currently serves as the President of the Board of Directors of Susan G. Komen North-Central Alabama. She is also a member of the Board of Directors of the Jefferson County Intellectual and Developmental Disability Authority. She is a founding member and Co-President of the Board of Directors of Special Siblings, which hosts a monthly support group for children who have a sibling with special needs. Jenny further serves as legal counsel to a number of animal rescue organizations in town.
Jenny and her husband have three children, aged 19, 16 and 3. They also have three senior rescue dogs. With the help of one of her dogs, Honey Belle, in 2011 Jenny secured a half million-dollar dog park that was built in her hometown of Alabaster.
Jenny will focus her practice on estate and special needs planning, special education advocacy, general business law, and estate administration and litigation. We are fortunate to have her as a part of the firm and know that her work will greatly benefit our clients.
